ANM full form is Auxillary Nursery Midwifery in Nursing which is a diploma course ANM course comes under medical nursing. ANM course duration is of 2 years including 6 months of the internship. The main aim of the course is to teach students to help the whole community of people in providing healthcare. This course has its importance because of the need for people to have knowledge in the nursing profession. Any shortage in nurses will bring in ANM graduates to the limelight.

Eligibility
Listed below are the minimum eligibility criteria for candidates interested in pursuing ANM to fulfill:
- Successful completion of the 10+2 level of education, from a recognized educational Board.
- A minimum aggregate score of 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) at the 10+2 level.
- Candidates must have science subjects in their 10+2 education.
Admission Process
- Most A.N.M Nursing Colleges offering the course admits students based on performance in a relevant entrance test followed by a round of P.I (Personal Interview), wherein general aptitude for the course is tested. Admission process generally varies across colleges. The final admission to the ANM course depends on the candidate’s score in entrance exam and PI.
- Few institutes also provide direct admission based on the candidate’s performance at the 10+2 level.
